Meet the team behind the club
The Ultimate Travel Club has been formed by a passionate group of experienced professionals who love travel, and love the industry, but know there’s a better way to get things moving again. The travel, leisure, and hospitality industries have been hit hard during the pandemic. Together we have a chance to help get them back on their feet.
We’ve formed UTC to provide all the choice a travel agent gives, but no hidden commissions and mark-ups. Our running costs will come from the subscriptions of like-minded people who want this transparency. And our promise is that we’ll beat all publicly-available prices, so our members never need to worry about whether they’ve got the best deal.
We’ve all got children and we want to be sure they have the same kind of opportunities to go on adventures, and discover different landscapes and cultures as we’ve had. And we want that for their kids too. That’s why we’ve partnered with Ecologi, who invest in carbon reduction and community projects, so we can use our collective power to reduce travel’s impact on the planet.
Between us we have well over 150 years of industry experience, in a range of disciplines, so our strengths combine to make a powerful team with a huge directory of contacts to help us on the journey. And we’ve all made personal investments into this community, because we believe this is how we can bring travel back better. Let’s go further – together.
In a 35-year marketing career on both agency and client-side Stephen has held senior roles at companies including Walt Disney & SilverJet. In 2005 Stephen founded Pimento, Europe’s largest virtual agency.
Chief Executive Officer
Brett has 20 years of experience of commercial strategy and marketing for travel, leisure and hospitality businesses in the UK; working with owners and investors developing growth in existing businesses and incubating start-ups.
Chief Operating Officer
George has nearly 30 years operations and technology leadership and start-up experience in the travel sector gained at OTAs, airlines, tour operators, and TMCs.
Chief Finance Officer
Rob is an experienced finance leader having worked in start-ups, SMEs, and larger corporates. He has experience in leading both acquisitions and business sales functions and has held senior roles at Virgin Atlantic, Opodo, and Holiday Extras.
Chief Marketing Officer
Jae is a dynamic brand and marketing professional with over 20 years’ marketing experience derived from working across senior positions in the travel and leisure industry for brands including Eurotunnel and Exodus Travels.
Chief Brand Officer
Owen has 20 years’ experience across agency leadership and brand communications. A strategic and conceptual thinker, he has curated and crafted many successful global brand campaigns, including work for Celebrity Cruises and Emirates.
